Pls Help: Installing new programme stuck at "Setup is Configuring ODBC"

Could anyone please help urgently.

I am trying to install Sage Accounting Programme Line50v10.

When the installation reach the stage of "Setup is configuring the ODBC,"
everything stops and programme does not load further.

The rest of the computer is functioning as normal.

Please help as I need to sort the accounts out urgently.

What version of Windows do you have? Is this a Sage update or new
installation? Are you using an SQL server or just MDAC. You may need
to reinstall MDAC on the machine or upgrade to a newer version.
As linked to below, you may also need to install the update logged on
as administrator:

On google I have seen many ODBC and sage errors. Start with the above
and post back if you need more help.

Thanks for you response. I am using windows XP. It eventually sorted
its-self out. When I got stuck at "Setup is configuring the ODBC," I tried
to turn the computer off and lo and behold, it got sorted out.

The forum is great....one for the future.
